Co jest ogromną niespodzianką dla wielu osób, to Ankara jest stolicą Turcji, a nie Stambuł. Jako stolica jest siedzibą prezydenta (który mieszka w nowowybudowanym pałacu...), miejcem pochówku Mustafy Kemala Atatürka, i.... I to właściwie tyle. Znajduje się tam jeszcze stary zamek, ale miasto nie jest zbyt atrakcyjne dla turystów. Anıtkabir ['Anytkabir'], czyli mauzoleum Atatürka, to najbardziej znany obiekt w mieście. Zaskakuje swoimi rozmiarami i jest skarbnicą wiedzy na temat ojca narodu tureckiego. Poza tym to po prostu ładne miasto pełne ciężko pracujących ludzi. |

What is surprising for many people, Ankara not Istanbul is the capital of Turkey. President resides there (in his newly-built palace), Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's body is resting there and... And that is basically it. Besides that there is an old castle but the city is not very touristic place. Anıtkabir, Atatürk's mausoleum, is the most recognizable location in Ankara. Its size is enormous and you can find plenty of information about the father of Turkish nation. Apart from this it's simply a nice city filled with lots of hardworking people.

Droga prowadząca do Anıtkabir, czyli mauzoleum Atatürka. Taki sposób ułożenia chodnika czyni go nieco podatnym na potknięcia, przez co trzeba patrzeć pod nogi. W ten sposób odwiedzający opuszczają głowę, co może być odczytywane jako wyraz szacunku do Atatürka. | Way leading to Anıtkabir, that is Atatürk's mausoleum. This particular construction of pavement makes the possibility of tripping higher so visitors must watch out where they are stepping. Therefore, they must tilt their heads what can be read as a demonstration of respect to Atatürk.
