Wtorek to dzień bazaru w mojej dzielnicy. Oznacza to że wszyscy handlarze warzywami, owocami i czymkolwiek się da zjeżdżają się do jednej hali i tam próbują sprzedać swoje produkty. Jest ich tak wielu, że część z nich rozkłada się już na ulicy. Znaleźć można praktycznie wszystko, wybór jest ogromny. Wtorkowy poranek oznacza nieco wcześniejszą pobudkę i wyjście na zakupy. W tym tygodniu choroba współlokatorki zmusiła mnie do samotnego wyjścia i muszę przyznać, że było to trochę przytłaczające: ja i tłumy sprzedawców nawołujących do siebie. Ceny są niskie wszędzie, ale i tak warto się przejść i rozeznać w oferowanych produktach, ponieważ mogą różnić się jakością czy świeżością. Po kilkunastu minutach uciekłam od tego zgiełku z dwiema ciężkimi torbami warzyw i owoców, oraz ogromną satysfakcją, że poradziłam sobie sama :)

Tuesday is a bazaar day in my neighbourhood. It means that all the tradesmen come to one big hall with their vegetables, fruits and whatever they have to sell. There is so many of them some have to lay out their products on the street. You can find nearly everything, the choice is vast. Tuesday morning means waking up a little bit earlier and going for shopping. This week due to my flatmate's sickness I had to go to bazaar alone and I must say it was somewhat overwhelming: me and crowds of sellers calling me to their stand. Prices are low everywhere but still it's better to look around and verify the quality or freshness of offered products. After a short while I left from this turmoil with two heavy bags of fruits and vegetables, and big satisfaction that I made it on my own :)

Odnoszę wrażenie, że tutaj zawsze jest sezon na arbuzy i melony. | I get a feeling that here there is always a season for melons and watermelons.

Ben yabancıyım ama ben biliyorum bu elma değil!
'Elma' oznacza jabłko, a na zdjęciu ewidentnie są granaty. Przypadek czy chwyt marketingowy? | 'Elma' means apple and clearly in the picture are pomegranates. Accident or marketing trick? 

Tak, to są mandarynki. Te tutaj wyjątkowo mało zielone. | Yes, those are mandarins. And those are not as green as usually.

 

Boję się myśleć ile czasu zajmuje tak idealne wyłożenie pomidorów... | I'd rather not even wonder how long does it take to put out tomatoes so perfectly... 

Oliwki, oliwki wszędzie! | Olives, olives everywhere! 

Jedna tak ogromna kapusta i bigos jak dla wojska! | One such a huge cabbage would be enough.

Pięknie przyozdobiony stragan :) | A beautifully decorated stand :)

Jeden z wielu wózków na ulicy. Tutaj sprzedawana jest hurma, czyli owoc, który mi przypomina nieco gruszkę. | One of many trolleys in the street. Here hurma is sold, a fruit that reminds me of a pear. 

Królestwo arbuzów! Cały lokal na parterze wyłożony jest skrawkami materiału i wypełniony arbuzami. | Kingdom of watermelons! The whole ground floor is paved with scraps of fabric and filled with watermelons.

Zmyślna turecka pani domu na targ zawsze idzie przygotowana - dzięki takim wózkom kobiety nie muszą dźwigać ciężkich zakupów. | Clever Turkish housewife is always prepared for the bazaar - thanks to those carts women can carry heavy bags easily. 

Ta głowa chyba miała zachęcać do zakupu mięsa, ale mnie skłoniła jedynie do zadania pytania: czy w tym kraju istnieje odpowidnik naszego Sanepidu? | This head probably was hanging there in order to tempt buyers but it made me think: is there any sanitary inspection in Turkey? 

Tak wygląda dobrze wydane 11 lir! | That's what a well spent 11tl looks like!
